NDT Standards

Versatile Products manufactures Eddy Current Test Standards (or NDT Standards) for most aircraft and automotive parts.

These test standards allow the eddy current system to be calibrated to insure proper inspection of potentially cracked parts. To make an NDT standard we start with a part or section of a part and place a small notch in a critical area. This notch represents a minimal crack (commonly about .060” long x .030” deep x .005” wide for aircraft components). The NDT standard is then used to set up the eddy current unit.

We are a suggested manufacturer for NDT standards (or eddy current standards) for Goodrich and Meggit (formerly ABS) aircraft wheels.
